1. Control Wizard

The Control Wizard is a CC (Crowd Control) and damage dealing class. They harness arcane energy which they unleash on their victims.

Best Race as a Control Wizard : Human / Tiefling

Control Wizard Attribute Priority : Int > Cha > Wis

Control Wizard Stat Priority : Power > Crit > Armor Penetration > Recovery

Gearing up as a Control Wizard : At level 60 you will have a few choices. Either do PvP until you have a full set of gear or if you have astral diamonds or want to farm astral diamonds there are quite a few options available on the Auction House.

The Best Companion for Control Wizards: For leveling you should stick with the Cleric companion. When you have reached level 60, the best companion to have as a Control Wizard is the Cat.

2. Devoted Cleric

The Devoted Cleric is the only healer class in Neverwinter. The Devoted Cleric is pretty versatile though for a healer and have quite a few utility skills and when soloing they can do quite a good amount of damage.

Best Race as a Devoted Cleric :  Human > Half Elf > Dwarf

Devoted Cleric Attribute Priority : Wiz > Str > Cha

Devoted Cleric Stat Priority : Power > Crit > Recovery > Defense > Hit Points

Gearing up as a Devoted Cleric : When you have finally gotten to level 60 you are probably going to want some better gear. When leveling the Devoted Cleric is more than fine 

with whatever you can get from drops so don't spend too much Astral Diamonds on gear before level 60. At level 60 you can either start farming Astral Diamonds and buy some decent gear or you can get gear from PvP which is pretty fast, and will get you good enough gear to start doing instances.

The Best Companion for Devoted Cleric: Usually when leveling you should stick with the Tank Companion.

Daily Powers: Divine Armor - Hammer of Fate

Encounter Powers: Sun Burst - Forgemaster's Flame - Astral Shield

3. Great Weapon Fighter 

The Great Weapon Fighter is a typical melee DPS class. They rely on strength to deliver huge blows to their enemies with their two handed weapons. They can hold aggro very well and has decent defensive capabilities due to their scale armor.

Best Race as a Great Weapon Fighter : Tiefling are perhaps the best Great Weapon Fighter class due to being able to do 5% extra damage to mobs under 50% health. Humans ( 3 Extra Heroic Points) and Half Orc (5% Crit Severity) is also good choices.

Great Weapon Fighter Attribute Priority : Str > Con > Dex

Great Weapon Fighter Stat Priority : Crit < Defense < Lifesteal

Gearing up as a Great Weapon Fighter : When you hit level 60 you are going to want to find some better gear. First you will either want to farm Astral Diamonds and simply buy some decent gear of the Auction house, this doesn't really take long if you know some good farming spots. Or you can do PvP and get gear, this also goes rather quick. More info on how to gear up is coming soon!

The Best Companion for Great Weapon Fighter: The Cleric Companion is generally the best companion for Great Weapon Fighters, especially when leveling.

4. Guardian Fighter

The Guardian Fighter is the typical tank class in Neverwinter. The Guardian Fighter class is suited for players who want to be at the forefront of battle, being able to absorb huge amounts of damage. 

Best Race as a Guardian Fighter : Human (+2 to any ability score, 3% defense and 3 extra heroic feats) > Dwarf (+2 str and +2 Con)

Guardian Fighter Attribute Priority : Con > Str > Dex

Guardian Fighter Stat Priority :

Gearing up as a Guardian Fighter : When you finally reach level 60 you are going to want some new gear. While leveling you are fine with whatever you get from drops. At level 60 you should either farm Astral Diamonds for gear or do PvP. Both are fairly quick and will get you some decent gear.

5. Trickster Rogue

The Trickster Rogue is a typical melee DPS class, relying mostly on stealth and cunning to attack their enemies from the shadows. They wield blades and daggers that they use to attack the mobs from the shadows. They can wear leather armor.

Best Race as a Trickster Rogue : Human / Drow / Tiefling

Trickster Rogue Attribute Priority : Dex > Str > Cha

Trickster Rogue Stat Priority : Power > Critical > Recovery > Armour Penetration > Hit Points > Life Steal > Deflection > Defense

Gearing up as a Trickster Rogue : For leveling you can just stick with whatever gear you get. At level 60 you will either want to focus on getting some decent gear from the auction house or from PvP before starting instances. Either way this goes pretty quick.

The Best Companion for Trickster Rogue:  The Cleric Companion is generally most useful for leveling and solo. For end-game you should stick with the Cat Companion for max DPS.
